Trinidad State Junior College provides an affordable and accessible education to students in southern Colorado and beyond.
Established in 1925, Trinidad State Junior College (TSJC) was the first community college in Colorado. With campuses in Trinidad and Alamosa, we provide an affordable and accessible education to students in southern Colorado and beyond. Trinidad State offers unique academic programs in fields specific to the Advanced Manufacturing industry such as Welding and Machining. We are also home to the oldest, and by most accounts, best Gunsmithing school in the country.
Our tuition rates are consistently at least 40 percent less than Colorado’s four-year colleges and universities.
TSJC takes pride in being one college with two great campuses in beautiful southern Colorado – one of thirteen community colleges serving students as part of the Colorado Community College System.
At TSJC, we deliver personalized attention in an outstanding learning environment. Just as importantly, we offer this to you at an affordable cost. Whether you are just beginning your higher education experience, seeking a new career, or simply learning for the love of it, we would like to work with you. We are committed to enriching our communities and engaging the students we serve. None of this would be possible without our caring and dedicated faculty and staff, who look forward to getting to know you.
Trinidad State Junior College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
