Lamar Community College is committed to providing the highest quality education in an environment of service excellence.
You may never find a better environment to grow academically and personally as you can at Lamar Community College (LCC). LCC’s staff and faculty do their best to know every student on campus. We strive to do our best in a comfortable yet academically rigorous atmosphere.
Founded in 1937, LCC is a learner-centered, coeducational, two-year post-secondary institution. We are excited about how the college is set to grow in the next few years. LCC is committed to providing students with educational offerings that meet occupational needs of students in technical and vocational fields, as well as opportunities for lifelong learning and development. We are implementing many new programs and bringing greater value and a multitude of additional options to our students.
Located on the golden plains of southeastern Colorado, the College has developed a special concern for the educational needs of Prowers, Baca, Kiowa, and Cheyenne Counties. Its unique programs, small class sizes, dedicated staff, and idyllic setting make it a preferred educational destination for the State of Colorado, the nation, and the world.
Students choose LCC for various reasons. Some seek skills and knowledge to enter the workforce. Others come to study in one of our signature programs, to seek a bachelor’s degree through one of our partnerships with several four-year colleges and universities, or to continue their athletic careers against top-level competition. Whatever the reason, you will excel as a part of our close-knit learning community.
Lamar Community College is authorized to provide post-secondary education programs by the State of Colorado and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
